Carolyn Ann Arzamarski

December 6, 1940 — September 18, 2015

Carolyn Arzamarski, 74, formerly of Charlestown RI, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2015 with her daughter by her side at South County Hospital under the care of Home and Hospice of RI. She was the wife of the late Arthur D. Arzamarski. Carolyn was born on December 6, 1940 in Central Falls, RI. She was the daughter of the late Paul and Veronica (Kocon) Szeliga. Carolyn, a graduate of Johnson and Wales, was a bookkeeper for many years at Almacs, the former Bradford Dying Association and Anesthesia Associates of Westerly, retiring in 1999. Carolyn was an artist for the past 62 years, working with oils, acrylics and enamels. Following her diagnosis with breast cancer in 2008, she painted hundreds of ornaments and glassware along with her daughter. Together, they created Silvathyme Art and Design and painted their way through Carolyn’s cancer treatments and her role as caregiver for her husband who suffered from Alzheimers. Carolyn beat her breast cancer and continued to paint for the past 7 years. She found absolute joy in painting. Carolyn was always striving to develop new patterns for her customers and loved hearing their compliments. Along with painting, Carolyn loved embroidery, shopping, spending time with her Daughter and her friends at the Atria Harborhill. Carolyn leaves a daughter, Donna (Lloyd) Silva, her husband George and Son Nathaniel with whom she resided; a son, Michael Lloyd and his sons Dylan and Daniel; a stepson, Aaron Arzamarski, his wife Sondra and their 2 daughters, Avrey and Carson. A funeral will be held Saturday, September 26 at 8:00 am in Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield. A burial will follow at 9:30 am in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 301 South County Trail, Exeter.
