Carolann Mcgovern

Carolann McGovern, 59, of Narragansett, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at home. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of E. Francis “Fran” and Carol (Sherman) McGovern. Carolann worked at South County Hospital, Blue Cross, Foxwoods and DEM Fish & Wildlife. Besides her parents she leaves her son, Det. (NPD) Ryan McGovern and his fiancé Catherine DeMatteo; her brothers, David J. McGovern and Ret. Capt.(NPD) William F. McGovern; her sister, Ret. Lt. Col. (U.S. Army) Joanne McGovern. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 23, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours Thursday 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Narragansett Lions Club, P.O. Box 186, Narragansett, RI 02882.
