Carol Jane Smith

Carol J. Smith, 62 of Narragansett, died Thursday, September 1st, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Roland “Bucky” Smith, Jr. for 44 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Mary (McPhillips) Freethy. Mrs. Smith had been an associate for Staples Office Supply Store in Wakefield, for the past 11 years. In her spare time, she loved to garden. Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Roland B. Smith, III of Narragansett and Rebecca J. Monahon and her husband Neal of Richmond; as well as many relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 10th at 10 AM at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Pt. Judith Road, Narragansett. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
