Carol Ann Petrone

Carol Ann Petrone of South Kingstown, Rhode Island passed away on 7/29/2017. Carol was born on May 1, 1958 in White Plains, NY to Thomasina S. Petrone and the late Paul J. Petrone, where she grew up with her sister Evelyn and many friends. Carol enjoyed family vacation with close friends and other families throughout New York and New England. She graduated from White Plains High School and from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Nutrition. Carol saw the beaches of RI and never looked back. She married Michael A Parrillo and raised their two children, Monica Lee and Michael Joseph. Carol enjoyed many of the things that life has to offer; she was a member of the Wakefield Baptist Church and served as a deacon. Carol was also a member of Galilee Beach Club, where many days were enjoyed with family and close friends. She enjoyed live music, dining out with her many girlfriends, and visiting with her neighbors. Her talent in the kitchen was a gift to all who were fortunate to be a part of her life, she challenged herself with online baking courses and the creations were beautiful and delicious. Carol worked at South County Hospital in the communications department. Carol is survived by her husband Michael Colby, children Monica and Michael, mother Thomasina, sister Evelyn, and stepchildren Tyler and Shannah. She was predeceased by her father in February of this year. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the MGH fund at Massachusetts General Hospital, PO Box 55242, Boston MA 02205-8098. Calling hours will be held at Avery-Storti Funeral Home in Wakefield on Tuesday from 4pm - 7pm. A funeral service will be held at Wakefield Baptist Church, 236 Main Street, on Wednesday at 10am.
