Carol Linda Hanewich

Carol Linda Hanewich, 79, of South Kingstown, passed away Friday September 27th. She was the wife of the late Michael D. Hanewich. Raised in Rumford, she was a daughter of the late Allan Pollok and Ruth Carolina (Eriksson) McConnell. Linda resided in both Attleboro, MA and Block Island, before retiring to South Kingstown 21 years ago. She loved spending time at the beach and tending to her garden, a passion passed down from her father. She was a prolific reader and had an avid interest in the arts and entertainment. She is survived by two sons, Steven Hanewich (Jeanne) of Chesapeake, VA and Robert Hanewich of South Kingstown and New York City; a daughter Susan Thomas (Kenneth) of South Kingstown; her loving grandchildren Ryan and Emily Thomas, and Michael, Jamie and Nicholas Hanewich; and her devoted sister Susan McConnell; as well as many nieces and nephews. Per her wishes a private celebration of her life will be held.
