Obituary

Carol “Becky” Rebecca Argo, 63, of Charlestown, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26. She was born in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, to the late Robert Allen and her beloved mother, Alice (Albro) Allen. Becky was the devoted wife of Christopher Argo for 43 years and a loving mother to her sons, Jack Argo and Seaman Peter Argo. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Brownie, and her cherished cat, Oscar.

Becky found great joy in life’s quiet beauties. She especially loved watching hummingbirds, whose grace and energy never failed to delight her. Block Island held a special place in her heart, as did lighthouses, which reflected her appreciation for peaceful landscapes and enduring light. Becky was an avid reader and, in her younger years, expressed her creativity through painting—an early reflection of her thoughtful and artistic spirit.

Besides her husband, she is lovingly survived by her sister, Laurie (Lou) Boyer; her sisters-in-law, Tina (Ernest) Joyal and Anna (Brian) Cowan; her aunt, Jacqueline Grey; her cherished grandchildren, Juliette (Anthony) and Christopher; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Paisley, Aiden, and Zakary, who brought endless joy to her life. Becky is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. She is pre-deceased by her father, Robert Allen.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 11 am at Avery-Storti Funeral Home.
