Carmel Dolores Martin

September 16, 1932 — September 18, 2022

Carmel D. Martin, 90, of Narragansett, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Brookdale South Bay. She was the wife of the late G. Edward Martin. Born in Dublin, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Christopher and Margaret Keegan.


Carmel was a volunteer at South County Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Church. Carmel loved Irish music and spending time with her family.


She is survived by a son, Christopher G. Martin and his wife Jo-Ann of Narragansett, four grandchildren, Christopher M. Martin of North Kingstown, Seamus J. Martin of Warwick, Shannon E. McGrath of South Kingstown, and Siobhan E. Martin of Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, and six great grandchildren.


Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 11 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Calling hours for Carmel will be held Monday, September 26, 2022 from 5 to 7 PM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas More Church.
