Carl E. Thornton, Jr.

Carl E. Thornton, Jr., 78, of South Kingstown, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2023, with his family by his side. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carl E. Thornton, Sr., and Ethel L. (Church) Thornton.

Carl was a manager at Universal Firearms, Wakefield before retiring. He also worked at Perspectives Corp for several years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and hunting. He leaves behind his sisters, Gail McDonald and her late husband William McDonald of South Kingstown, RI and Kathy Card and her husband William Card of Putnam, CT.

Carl was a beloved “Cuncle” to many nieces and nephews. His one-of-a kind humor and love for his family will be sorely missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 11:00am to1:00pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield.
