Carl E. Palm, 96, and his wife Roberta B. (Rossi) Palm, 89, passed away one day apart this past weekend. They were married for 68 years. Mr. Palm was born in Providence and was a son of the late Eric C. and Rosa (George) Palm. His wife Roberta was born in Boston, MA and was a daughter of the late William A. and Beatrice L. (Smith) Rossi. Mr. Palm was employed at the Bradford Dye Mill and served honorably in the United Sates Army Air Corp during World War II. Mrs. Palm was employed at Verizon and volunteered at South County Hospital, Peace Dale Elementary School, and with Sympatico as a Literacy Volunteer. They are survived by their children, Carla Bowman and her husband Dennis of Wakefield, Lori R. Palm of Wakefield, and Eric Palm and his wife Nita of Norfolk, Virginia; five grandchildren, Ryan Palm, Erin M. Sager, Daniel C. Bowman, Kimberly R. Bowman, and Julie R. Bowman; and two great-grandchildren, Isaac T. Palm and Lucas Z. Palm. Mr. Palm was the brother of the late Eric Palm and Virginia Palm, and Mrs. Palm was the sister of the late William P. Rossi. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Thursday 10 - 11 am, followed by a funeral service at 11 am. Burial will be private.
