Burton H. Strom

Burton Strom, 79, of Wakefield, RI died October 14, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Francine Gertz and son of the late Bertha and Henry Strom. Born in Brooklyn, he attended Brooklyn Polytech and later, the University of Pennsylvania. Burt founded and was still CEO of M&T Manufacturing in Peace Dale. A lifelong woodworker, avid fly fisherman, Masters swimmer, and book lover, Burt successfully pursued a creative and active lifestyle. He had a legendary social life and maintained many decades long friendships. Burt was the proud father of Kevin Hartman and his wife Janet, Adam Strom and his wife Mary Lynn, Caitlin Lambstrom and her husband Nathan, and Annalee Warrensford and her husband Hackie. Dear brother of the late Kaila Spring. He was the adoring grandfather of Curtis, Samuel, Owen, Matthew, Oliver, Isaac, Isla, Raelyn, and Phoebe. A celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an environmental organization of your choice.
