Brian M. Kenny passed away at age 78 in his Charlestown, RI home on February 1, 2020 after fighting a year long battle with prostate cancer. Brian was a graduate of Barrington High School in 1960. He worked part time at Almacs Supermarket while attending school and then went on to retire 37 years later with the same company as Head Meat Cutter. He also was a proud Union leader of Local 328. Brian was a beloved coach of Pop Warner Football and Little League in Rehoboth, MA. He loved nature and taught his entire family the value of being outdoors. Later in life he became a Park Ranger at Burlingame Park. Brian was a lifelong Red Sox fan who enjoyed kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, hiking, walking at Ninigret Park and talking with anyone who would strike up a conversation. Brian was also an avid movie enthusiast with a knack for picking the award winners! He loved his bowling buddies and playing cards with the guys each week. Brian leaves behind his wife, Paige A. Kenny, whom he adored and made sure to tell her this often, along with reminding her to "be a good person". He leaves his brother, Alan Kenny. Brian also leaves his six children, Ed, Maryann, Jay, Kerrian, Stacie and Patrick...as well as 10 grandchildren, Jamie, Kaila, Zoe, Samantha, Emmy, Lily, Maggie, Emma, Ava and Dylan. He will truly be missed as he made the world an amazing place with his Irish charm. In the words of Brians much loved grandfather, Frederick Owen, "Im glad Im living" ...Brian did just that, always. Visiting hours will be from 12-2pm at Avery-Storti Funeral Home in Wakefield, RI on Sunday February 9th. Donations can be made in Brians memory to Hospice Care.
