Brian A. Fay

Brian A. Fay, 48, of Newport and Wakefield, died Tuesday. Born in Providence, he was a son of Alfred and Barbara (Smith) Fay of East Matunuck. Mr. Fay was a fisherman and well respected Captain, who fished out of Pt. Judith and Newport. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Kimberly Tremblay of Cranston and Karen M. Nichols of Fayetteville, NC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 9 AM in St. Romuald Chapel, Atlantic Avenue, Matunuck. Burial will be private. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Friday 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Galilee Mission, PO Box 459, Narragansett, RI 02882 or the Seaman’s Institute, 18 Market Street, Newport, RI 02840.
