It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Brian Lee Bouchard. He passed on Sunday, August 18th.
The son of Edna and Mack Bouchard, Brian was born in Westerly, Rhode Island. The brother of Cleone Caroulo (deceased), Steven Bouchard of New Canaan, Ct. and Darrell Bouchard of West Kingston, RI. Brian passed surrounded by his family: His wife Elsie Bouchard, his daughter Jill Antunes, his sons Brock Bouchard (wife Kerie), Brett Bouchard, Peter Lambert (wife Amber) and Matthew Lambert (wife Lee Ann) and his 8 grandchildren who he adored. He will be greatly missed by his family members and the hundreds, if not thousands of friends he made throughout his years running Kingston Turf Farms.
After serving in the US Army from 1965 to 1967, stationed at the Pentagon, he and his brother-in-law, Bob Caruolo, started Kingston Turf Farms. Long days and nights were never a problem. Brian did what needed to be done to keep the farm going. He was an inventor, an innovator, and a pioneer in all things turf related.
He blazed a trail through the agricultural industry, sharing his knowledge and expertise to anyone who wanted a little help. His sod harvester, the 4 foot big roll, changed the way sod is harvested today and one of his proudest accomplishments were the soccer fields he built in the country Oman. Brian was a man with tremendous drive and commitment . If there was a problem, he would find a solution, always looking to make things better. Always thinking in the future. He devoted 57 years to his business. There will be an empty seat in his John Deere 7810 that will never be able to be filled. Kingston Turf Farms will never quite be the same.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday, August 26th from 4-7 pm in Avery Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 27th at 11am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home.
