Brenda L. Langlais, 49, of Wakefield, died unexpectedly on Monday. She was the beloved wife of Roger A. Langlais and they were married 31 years. Born in South Kingstown, she was a daughter of Owen Tefft and the late Margaret (McNulty ) Tefft. She was a graduate of South Kingstown High School in 1982. Brenda had most recently worked at the LaPlante Center in Wakefield and had previously been employed at Bess Eaton and Dunkin Donuts. She attended the Curtis Corner Baptist Church and the Pilgrim Baptist Church. Besides her husband and father, she is survived by her son, Alex Langlais of Wakefield; two sisters, Luanne Landry of Wakefield and Paula Dimon of Hopkinton; three brothers, Michael Tefft of Pennsylvania, Owen Lee Tefft of Westerly and Christopher Tefft of Indiana; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be Saturday at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, from 12 -2 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2 PM. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery.
