Bradford W. Monahon

June 5, 1932 — February 8, 2018

Bradford W. Monahon, 85, of South Kingstown, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was the husband of Sally (Evans) Monahon. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Clifford P. and Eleanore (Bradford) Monahon. He served in the U.S. Forest Service in Colorado and then was employed by the RI Department of Environmental Management retiring as the manager of the Arcadia Management Area. Brad was a graduate of Moses Brown, received his BA from Brown University and his MA in Forestry from Yale University. He served his country honorably in the U.S Coast Guard. Brad was an avid skier and he loved the RI coastline specifically: Salt Pond, Matunuck and Block Island. He had a passion for music and music festivals. He was an avid sports car race driver and later in life when he wasn't skiing in the Berkshires or Vermont he was biking. Besides his wife he leaves his son, Neal B. Monahon and his wife Rebecca of Richmond; his daughter Anne M. Hathaway of South Kingstown; grandchildren Brad W. and Jillian F. Hathaway and his grand dog Tillie. At Brads request there are no services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
