Blanche Jackson, 92 of Providence, passed away Monday, April 9th. She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew L. Jackson. Born in East Providence, she was a daughter the late Land and Ida (Greene) Shavers. She worked at the John Hope Community Center and was a jewelry inspector for Bullova Watch. In her spare time she loved to sing, play the piano , writing poetry, and was a former member of the Church of God in Wakefield. She will be remembered for always helping others. She is survived by a son, Andrew L. Jackson, Jr. of Providence; two daughters, Brenda lee Jackson of Providence and Annette Jackson Cooley and her husband Joel of Providence; a grandson, Cole Lambert of Florida; and a brother Land D. Shavers of East Providence. A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon Friday at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
