Beverly B. Walters

Beverly (Bertram) Walters, 80, of Wakefield, died Friday. She was the wife of the late Dr. Cornelius J. Walters. Born in Platteville, Wisconsin, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Jennie (Hartlip) Bertram. Mrs. Walters graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing in DuBuque, Iowa. She was employed as a Registered Nurse, until retiring in 1957. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara J. Sarkis of Kingwood, Texas, and Lynn M. Griffin of Wakefield; and four grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Bernadine Nania, Lorraine, James and Ambrose Bertram. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Friday 5-8 PM.
