Beverly Ann Stringer

Beverly Ann Stringer, 68, of South Kingstown, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023. She was the daughter of the late Jane Markham, and wife of the late John J. Hopkinson.

Born in Annapolis, MD Beverly attended North Kingstown High School and St. Joseph’s School of Nursing. She worked as an Operating Room Technician at South County Hospital for over 20 years.

She enjoyed baking, music, summer days at the beach, crafting from nature, hosting annual holiday gatherings for family, and traveling with her late husband.

She had a creative and eclectic personality. Her sense of humor was legendary and sense of style notoriously unique.

Beverly is survived by her children, Terrence (T.J.) Stringer Jr. and Heather Clegg; and grandchildren Andrew Clegg, Alexa Clegg, and Ayden Stringer, as well as her sister Dr. Lynn Sironen and brother-in-law Jan Sironen, and son-in-law Stephen Clegg. She was “auntie B’ to many, and “G-Bev” to all. A memorial service will be held at a later this summer for close friends and family.
