Betty Jean Taylor, 71, passed away on April 22, 2026. Born on May 27, 1954, she lived a life grounded in quiet routines and meaningful work.

She found contentment in caring for her garden, cooking, baking, and cross-stitching—steady joys that brought her peace.

Betty was retired and, prior to her retirement, worked at Brightview Senior Center, where she offered her time and care to others.

She was predeceased by her parents, William H. Howard Jr. and Arline (Arnold) Howard; and her brothers, Newton Sherman, Richard Sherman, and William H. Howard III. She is survived by her sister, Joan Briggs; her brother, Joel Howard; her son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Megan; and her grandson, Miles.

Arrangements are with Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St. Wakefield, RI 02879. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
