Betty J. Rocha

Betty J. (Gardner) Rocha. 85. Of South Kingstown, passed away Monday, December 5, 2022. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Clifford T. Gardner Sr. and Mary Esther (Gardiner) Gardner.

Betty was a health care worker for the former Joseph H. Ladd Center for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Church of the Ascension and served on their boards in her younger years. Betty also enjoyed ceramics.

She was the mother of David Rocha; step-mother of Paula Corsetto, Alan Rocha and the late Stephen Rocha; sister of Norman Gardner, Glen Gardner and the late Marilyn Barrington, Joyce Gardner Dias, Franklin Gardner, Harry Gardner and Clifford Gardner Jr. She also leaves two granddaughters, one great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Monday, December 12, 2022 at 4:30 pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Visiting hours will be Monday, December 12, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of the Ascension, 370 Main St., Wakefield, RI 02879.
