Bernice W. Champlin

Bernice W. Champlin, 74, of Broad Rock Rd., South Kingstown, passed away peacefully Friday, November 28, 2014. Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Alice (Brown) Champlin. She was a direct descendent of the Royal House of Canonicus and a member of the Narragansett Indian Tribe. She is survived by a brother, George Champlin of Kingston and many nieces and nephews. She was sister of the late Alyce Machado and Scott Champlin. Visiting hours will be held Monday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Wakefield.
