Benjamin C. Tundis, 71, of South Kingstown, died Friday at home. He was the beloved husband and companion of Cheryl (Charpentier) Tundis for 29 years. Born in Johnston, he was a son of the late Carmine and Viola (Rinaldi) Tundis. Mr. Tundis was a carpenter for the Carpenters Local 94 Union for many years. In his spare time he kept busy with several projects including building his own boat and the house which was his residence. He enjoyed reading, working on the computer, and riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Benjamin Tundis Jr. of Oldsmar, FL and Jeffrey Tundis of Warwick; a stepson, Jason Michaud of Palm Springs, CA; a sister Norma LaPrade of Sun City, SC; and a brother Edward Tundis of RI. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
