Barbara A. Tefft

Barbara Tefft, 87, of South Kingstown, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 7th. She was born in North Kingstown to her loving parents, the late John and Nelly (Dow) Briggs. Barbara was the beloved wife of Alfred Tefft for 68 years.

Barbara was a self-taught, very talented seamstress who specialized in making slipcovers that are in homes from Florida to Maine. She worked tirelessly and selflessly for everyone she knew whether it was family, friends, or her church family. She was the first to help whenever there was a need. She loved gardening and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children; Kevin Tefft and his wife Mary, Brian Tefft and his wife Doreen, all of South Kingstown, and Heidi Cudworth and her husband Daniel of Sigil, PA; her grandchildren, Deborah Reisert, Kevin Tefft, Amanda Tefft, Joshua Tefft, Taylor Cudworth, and Benjamin Cudworth; and her great-grandchildren, Lucas Tefft and Gianna Dimaggio.

Visiting hours for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, October 12th from 4-6 pm in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield, 02879. A funeral service will follow at 6 pm. Burial will take place Thursday at 11 AM in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston.
