Barbara H. Rose, 90, of Wakefield, died Wednesday. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Rose. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Herman, Sr. and Helen (Wemmer) Wischnowsky. Mrs. Rose was a business owner, along with her husband Benjamin, in Narragansett. She was a member of the Providence Chapter # 1, OES. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, painting and sewing. She is survived by two children, Janice Enck of Wakefield and Richard Felthousen, Sr. of Rotonda West, FL; two grandchildren, Richard Felthousen, Jr. and Lisa Felthousen-Malik; a brother, Richard Wischnowsky of Rotonda, FL; and a sister, Helen Ellison of Cranston. She was the sister of the late Herman Wischnowsky, Jr., Harold Wischnowsky and William Wischnowsky. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Saturday, 9:30 – 10:30 AM, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the RIASPCA (Prevention of cruelty to animals), 186 Amaral Street, Riverside, RI 02915 or Home & Hospice Care of RI, 143 Main Street, South Team, Wakefield, RI 02879.
