Barbara L. Risley

Barbara Louise Risley, 100, of Jerry Brown Farm Rd., Wakefield, died Saturday. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Risley and the late Milton A. Roy. Born in Prince Edward Island, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Russell W. and Gretchen (Kohlhagen) Wright. Mrs. Risley was a secretary for the former Fleet National Bank for ten years before retiring. She was a member of the Peace Dale Congregational Church and it’s choir. She was a driver for the Westerly- South Kingstown Chapter of the American Red Cross, a former board member of Bethany Home, a member of RI Assoc. of the Blind, Animal Rescue League of Southern RI and the Edgewood Women’s Club. She leaves a nephew, Kenneth Smith; nieces, Beverly Allen and Linda Lombari all of Warwick. She was the sister of the late Hope Smith. Visitation will be held Wednesday 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM in the Peace Dale Congregational Church, 261 Columbia Street. Burial will be in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery.
