Barbara V. Hopkins

Barbara Virginia Hopkins, 86, of Broad Rock Rd., Wakefield, passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at South County Hospital, Wakefield. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jeanette (King) Rayner. She was the former wife of the late Everett J. "Daddy" Hopkins of Matunuck. Barbara was a graduate of North Providence High School and The University of Rhode Island, a homemaker and realtor for Denelle Realty before retiring. Well known for her witty fun personality and love of all things nature. Barbara was the mother of Laurie A. Hopkins Hines of Wakefield, Jonathan R. Hopkins of Wakefield, Julie R. Hopkins of Wakefield, Thomas E. Hopkins and his wife Andrea of Queensbury, NY, Jennifer Hopkins Manzo and her husband Anthony of Matunuck, and Jeanette M. Rayner and her husband Jeffrey of Charlestown, and the late Keith J. Hopkins; sister of Janet Scott of Fiskeville, Rl; grandmother of John-Austin H. Hines, Ashley J. H. Taylor and husband Andrew, Michael D. Hopkins-DeSantis, Joshua D. Hopkins-DeSantis and their father David Hopkins-DeSantis, Kenneth E. C. Hopkins and wife Ali, Jonathan K. Hopkins, Hannah E. Harmon and husband Scott and Thomas J. Hopkins and great grandmother of Gracelyn A. Hines. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family in the near future.
