Barbara J. Holland

Barbara J. Holland, 61, of West Kingston, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. She was the loving wife and best friend of Douglas N. Holland. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Howard G. and Barbara A. (Cooke) Rice. Barbara worked in dining services for U.RI. for 32 years before retiring. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and taking care of her flower garden. Besides her husband she is survived by her children Joseph Holland, Gregory Holland his wife Samantha, and Justin Holland; grandchildren Kaiya Hathaway and Tyler Holland; and sister Millie Standeven. She was predeceased by her son Alan Holland, and her siblings Phyllis Boisclair and Howard Rice. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 10 am in Avery-Storti Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Fernwood Cemetery, Kingston. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 from 4-7pm in Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St, Wakefield.
