Barbara Ursula Elsbree

Barbara U. Elsbree, 81, of Derry, NH, passed away on January 23, 2023, at Pleasant Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on October 31, 1941, to the late James and Ursula (Burns) Durkin, in Providence, RI. She was a graduate of Cranston RI High School’s Class of 1961 and married Paul A.T. Elsbree in 1962. She had many joys in life - she loved to knit, visiting the beach, singing and spending time with family. Barbara will always be remembered as a kind, loving, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Barbara is survived by her daughter: Donna LeRoy, and her husband Paul, of Derry, NH and their children: Brenden, and his husband Jared, Eli, Helix, and Aurora. Barbara is also survived by her daughter-in-law Katharine Elsbree and her three children: Cole, Alec, and Ashley.

Barbara is survived by her sisters: Joan Owren, Deryl Benoit and her husband Bob, Mary-Ellen Durkin, and Suzie Woodall.

Barbara is predeceased by her husband: Paul Elsbree; and her son: Daniel Elsbree.

A Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Carolina, 437 Carolina Back Rd, Charlestown, Rhode Island, on February 4, 2023, at 10:00am. A brief burial service will be held at Veterans Cemetery in Exeter Rhode Island immediately following.
