Barbara A. Clauson

Barbara A. Clauson, 73, of Wakefield, died Saturday. She was the wife of Charles L. Clauson for 53 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Hannah (Huntley) Cota. Mrs. Clauson had been previously employed at the Larchwood Inn and the South County Nursing Center. In her younger years, she was an outstanding softball player, golfer and bowler. Besides her husband, she is survived by two children, Karen Sebastian of Wakefield and Edward Clauson of Saunderstown; a sister, Charlotte Maynard of Texas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was the sister of the late Donald Cota. Visiting hours will be at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Thursday, 6-8 PM. Funeral services and burial will be private.
