Barbara M. Bonner

Barbara M. Bonner, 77, of South Kingstown, passed away Sunday Aug. 19,2012. She was the wife of the late Martin Lee Bonner Sr. Born in South Kingstown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth (Edwards) Barrington. Barbara enjoyed cooking and worked as a baker in several local restaurants. She served on the South Kingstown Town Committee and worked as a crossing guard for several years. She was the mother of Linda Barrow of Wakefield, Martin Bonner Jr. of Attleboro, MA, Leanne Peckham of Wakefield and Scott Bonner of Ft. Bragg, NC; sister of Virginia Woodmansee, Carolyn Stanley, Ronald Barrington and Marilyn Rice. She enjoyed spending time with her six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation Thursday from 10-11 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield. Burial will be at a later date.
