Avis Jean Heisler

Avis J. Heisler (Hagen), 90, of East Greenwich, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 24, 2018, in her sleep. She was the wife of the late Robert N. Heisler. Born in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of the late Dr. Robert and Elsa (Schweikert) Hagen. Avis was a graduate of Syracuse University; an active member of the Beechwood, East Greenwich and Pilgrim Senior Centers; was an avid gardener and loved butterflies, birds, flowers, walking, dancing, playing cards and all things of nature. She is survived by her daughter, Anne Chamberlain of Charlestown; her son, John Heisler of Cranston; her sister, Diane Hagen of Liverpool, NY; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
