Audrey M. Welch

Audrey M. Welch,79, of South Kingstown, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2015. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick A. Welch, and they had been married 57 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Mary (Parker) Bagge. Mrs. Welch was employed at Christian Brothers Center in Narragansett, retiring in 2001. She enjoyed playing bridge but her most enjoyment came from spending time with her only grandchild, Tim. She is survived by a daughter Kathleen A. Joyce and her husband Vincent of Charlestown; and her grandson, Timothy Joyce of Charlestown. She was the sister of the late Richard Bagge. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Wednesday, 5-7 pm. Family kindly requests memorial donations may be made to the Audrey M. Welch Education Fund, that has been established by her dear lifelong dear friends, c/o any Washington Trust Company branch.
