Asja Raubens

Asja Raubens, 91, formerly of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2021 with her family by her side. Asja was born in Yelgava, Latvia. She emigrated to Sweden during the war where she met the love of her life, Rudi and they were married. They had their son, Harry and they came to the US in 1956, settling in Cumberland, RI. Asja worked at Ann & Hope coordinating all shipping and receiving for over 25 years before retiring in 1994. She loved gardening, decorating, and traveling around the world with her husband. They celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this past January. Asja had a good life. She leaves behind her husband Rudi and son Harry and his wife Kathy. Services will be private.
