Arthur F. Catone

Arthur F. Catone, 92, formerly of Peace Dale, died Wednesday. He was the husband of the late Jane (Tyrel) Catone. Born in New York, NY, he was a son of the late Anthony and Lucy Catone. He graduated from Jamaica High School in New York and attended Hofstra College. Mr. Catone was a sales representative for Sinclair /British Petroleum for over thirty five years and served in the US Army during WW II. He was a sports fan following his beloved Yankees and Rangers and enjoyed golfing, bowling and gardening. He is survived by four children; Dr. William Catone of Wakefield, James Catone of Jamison, PA, Kathleen Earley of Destin, FL, Jane Rothwell of Lewis Center, OH; and eight grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Vincent, Albert and Silvio Catone. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM Monday in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are, Sunday, 4-6 PM.
