Obituary

Arthur C. Allbee, Jr., 77 of Charlestown, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026 at HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence. Born in South Kingstown on June 25, 1949, he was a son of the late Arthur C. Allbee, Sr. and Elizabeth (Sherron) Allbee. He is survived by his children, Mark Allbee and Jean Roberson, along with her husband, Michael, and his brother, Robert Allbee.

Art was a decorated Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. Always a humble man, few knew of his many medals and awards, including a Bronze Star. After graduating from Chariho High School, Art dedicated 22 years of his career to Harris Graphics. He then obtained his Associate's at New England Tech and worked for 31 years at Electric Boat.

Art enjoyed many things in life, especially working on cars and watching football. As an avid New England Patriots fan, he was a season ticket holder for many years. He and his son attended every game together, regardless of the temperamental New England weather. Some of his fondest memories were spent out on his boat, camping, or quahogging with his children when they were younger, creating special moments that his family will cherish forever.

His burial will take place on Saturday, October 10th, 2026 at 10:30 AM in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. Family and friends are invited to gather in front of the Administration building for 10 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Rhode Island Blood Center, PO Box 419354, Boston, MA 02241-9354.
