Armando Murgo

Armando Murgo, 93, of Wakefield, died peacefully Sunday July 15th, 2012 at South Bay Manor. He was the beloved husband of the late Louise (Burrows) Murgo. Born in Providence, he was the youngest of five children of the late Luigi and Ida (Volpe) Murgo. Mr. Murgo was a Medic in the US Army during WW II. He is survived by four children; Louise (Kenton) Dolinich of Wakefield, Linda (Ramon) Alferos of East Providence, Carol (Michael) Eldridge of Wakefield, and Stephen Murgo of Kingston. He was a wonderful Poppy to ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, and he will be sorely missed by all. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are Wednesday 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Rescue League of Southern RI, PO Box 458, Wakefield, RI 02880.
