Arlene "Molly" Marks

Arlene “Molly” Marks, 74, of Wakefield passed away on Saturday June 25, 2022, in Vero Beach Florida where she was residing. Arlene was the loving wife of Tom Silvia for the last 40 years. In her earlier years Arlene obtained two master’s degrees in English and Community Economic Development. She prided herself in being a mother, educator, and actor. Arlene had a passion for theater and the arts. She loved the creation of characters and was involved in many plays with Kaleidoscope theatre, the Granite theater in Westerly, and the Newport playhouse. Theatre and the stage were her greatest love. Besides her husband, Arlene is survived by her children Allicia Mogavero, Amanda Marks, Amy Marks, and Adam Silvia. She also leaves behind her brother, Albert Marks, and sister-in-law, Sandra Marks, and 13 grandchildren. Visiting Hours will be held on August 3, 2022, from 4-7pm at Avery Storti Funeral Home located at 88 Columbia Street Wakefield, RI. In lieu of flowers please donate in Arlene’s name to the local food bank or a local theater group of your choice.
