Arlene Knowles Healy

Arlene Knowles Healy, 77, of South Kingstown, passed away on Monday, May 20th. Born in Providence, RI to her loving parents the late George and Beatrice (Hindley) Knowles. She was the devoted wife to Michael Healy of 55 years.

Arlene attended the University of Rhode Island where she earned her nursing degree, was an avid swimmer, and met her beloved husband, Michael. She spent her career as a nurse working at UCONN health services. Arlene loved spending her summers at her beach cottage in Green Hill, RI. She enjoyed spending time at the beach surrounded by family and friends at Green Hill Beach Club where she was a longtime member. She cherished spending time with the family pets, watching birds in her yard, especially Jonathan Seagull, and riding her horse Tonka Toy. She will always be remembered for her delicious apple pies and chocolate chip cookies.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her two children, David Healy (Leslie) and Kevin Healy (Francine), her four grandchildren Jack, Cameron, Caitlyn, and Alyssa, two sisters Kathleen Braham and Martha Cowan, and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date this summer.
