Anthony F. Centracchio, 89, of Narragansett, died Wednesday. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Goodwin) Centracchio. Born in Warwick, he was a son of the late Aquino and Rosa (Carano) Centracchio. He grew up in the Natick section of West Warwick and attended Lockwood High School, where he played on the hockey and baseball teams. Mr. Centracchio was the owner of Warwick Floor Covering and he was a Real Estate Investor. He served in the US Navy during World War II and he was an avid baseball and hockey fan. He is survived by four children; Margaret McGovern and her husband Patrick of FL, Tony Centracchio of FL, Barry Centracchio and his wife Janette of RI, Annie Craddock and her husband Stephen of RI; three grandchildren, Meghan, Kerry and Brian; and two great grandchildren, Hannah and Sean. He was the brother of the late Maria Colaiacomo, Theresa Varesse, Lucy Lautieri, Allessandro, Fred, Joseph and James Centracchio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 AM in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Burial with military honors will follow in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, Friday 6-8 PM.
