Annette Emily Wright, 76, of Carolina, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at home on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Born in Brooklyn ,N.Y. on Sept. 20, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Zappardino , born in Palermo Sicily, and Marie (Schire) Zappardino, born Brooklyn N.Y. She leaves behind her husband of 35 years, Richard Steven Wright of Carolina, Her three children, Denise Gardiner, Janice Markham, and Gregory Sundberg. Six Grandchildren, Joseph Silva, Georgie Gardiner, Lauren Stratton , Hannah Markham, Erin Mack and Katlynn Penta of Carolina, Rhode Island, and 9 Greatgrandchildren. Annette worked for Kay Dee products in Hope Valley for a number of years in the art department making silk screens. She retired from Laid Law Transportation after working as a school bus driver. Annette was a very talented and many faceted person. She was an accomplished artist in many fields including painting and ceramics. Too many people to mention will miss her great cooking that she generously did for any friend in need. She was also an accomplished competitive pistol shooter exceling in both Bowling pin and IPSC competition; she was a talented skeet shooter as well. She was the first women member of the Bradford Sportsman club and will also be remembered for her great breakfasts and other meals that she cooked and served while a member there. One of the biggest loves of her life was dog rescue where she devoted herself in her later years. She will be missed greatly by the many rescue organizations that she supported and helped out but mostly by her 10 Yorkies that were the love of her life. As requested by Annette there will be no services. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Home and Hospice Care of Rhode Island, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
