Anne L. Rose, 71, of Wakefield, Rhode Island, passed away at home on January 10, 2026.
Anne was born on December 4, 1954, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Healy and Claire (Norton) Healy, and her beloved sister, Maureen Barrett.
Anne graduated from St. Xavier's Academy and went on to earn her master's degree in education from the University of Rhode Island. She dedicated more than 30 years of her life to teaching English at Chariho High School, where she touched countless lives through her passion for literature, learning, and her deep care for students.
She was known for her love of the beach, her loyal dog, Sydney, and the many students who remained close to her long after leaving her classroom. She was also blessed with a large circle of friends whose companionship, laughter, and support meant the world to her.
Above all else, Anne cherished her family. She is survived by her brother, Patrick Healy, and sister, Ellen Healy; her children, Christopher Rose (and his wife, Jess Rose), Daniel Rose, and Michael Rose; her beloved grandchildren, Ashlyn Rose and CJ Rose, who brought her immense joy; and her beloved aunt, Mary Carroll, with whom she shared a close and loving bond.
Anne will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the lasting impact she made both in her community and within her family.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, RI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 16th, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 114 High St., Wakefield, RI.
