Anne Marie Perrone, 89, of Narragansett, died Sunday, after a courageous battle with illness. She was the wife of the late Vincent S. Perrone. Born in New York, New York, she was a daughter of the late Santo and Marianna (Turco) Grasso. Mrs. Perrone taught Fashion Design at Mt. Vernon High School in New York for many years, before retiring to Rhode Island. She is survived by four children, Stephen (Carolyn) Perrone of North Kingstown, Richard (Brenda) Perrone of Pound Ridge, NY, Vincent Perrone, Jr. of Katonah, NY, and Eleanor Perrone of Watertown, NY; and six grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Marie D’Alessandro. The funeral will be 9 a.m. Saturday from the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland Street, Narragansett. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Peace Dale. Visiting hours are Friday, 5-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VNS, 14 Woodruff Avenue, Narragansett, RI 02882.
