Anne R. Del Monico

Anne (Russo) Del Monico, of Narragansett, R.I., died on December 10, 2013 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, after a brief illness, with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Henry G. Del Monico. She was the seventh of eight children born in Bristol, R.I. to the late Michele and Elvira (Baldizzi) Russo. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl and Anthony Russo, Salvatore Rossi and three sisters, Josephine Accardi, Sadye Trotter and Julia Russo. She is survived by three children, Angela of Rhode Island, Michael H. (Elizabeth) of Colorado and Anne Marie of Massachusetts. She is also survived by a granddaughter, Lisa Cheek of Texas and a grandson, Michael of Colorado. In addition she leaves 2 great grandchildren in Texas and 2 great grandchildren in Colorado. She is also survived by her sister, Christine Accardi of Warren. She and her husband were married at St. Thomas More Church in Narragansett, where she was a 70 year communicant. She was a 1936 graduate of Colt Memorial High School in Bristol where she was a member of the cheerleading squad, drama club and biology club. Among her lifelong interests were swimming, foreign travel, visiting family members, knitting and sewing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Bristol, R.I. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
