Anne Bowen

Anne Bowen (Waterman), 81, of Wakefield passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. She was the wife of the late Benjamin Bowen. Born in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Sylvia H. (Ward) Waterman. Anne was a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, completed a master’s degree in accounting from Bryant University and a master’s degree in special education from San Francisco State University. She was an elementary school teacher in the Warwick School Department, San Francisco School Department and New Mexico School System. When she returned to Rhode Island she was an accountant for Harvard Medical. Anne was an avid reader. She is survived by her sisters, Joan Alexander of Wakefield and Nancy Hindle and her husband Don of Narragansett; three nephews, Eric Alexander of San Francisco, Jeffrey Hindle of Warwick and Gregory Hindle of North Kingstown. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 8th at 10 am in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield. Burial will follow in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery, North Kingstown.
