Annamarie Graeber Shea, 64, of West Kingston died Monday, August 6, 2018 at Rhode Island Hospital following an illness. She is survived by her husband of forty years, William Shea. She was the daughter of the late Carl T. Graeber and the late Helen H. Graeber. Annamarie graduated from Rogers High School in 1972 and Boston University (cum laude) in 1976 majoring in physical therapy. She worked for many years for the Narragansett school department as a pediatric physical therapist before retiring. Annamarie was very active within her church and served on a variety of committees including being co-vice president of the church council. She also volunteered and supported a variety of church activities. She organized the quilting group which sewed thirty large quilts a year. She also organized the churchs donation of school kits, baby care kits, and personal care kits which were donated to Lutheran world relief along with the quilts which were then distributed worldwide. She is survived by her son Michael Shea and his fiance Freya Littlefield, daughter Theresa Duffer and Bryan Oldham, and son Daniel Shea and Sarah Lawhorne. Annamarie was the grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters Nadia Duffer and Raelynn Shea who called her Omi. She is survived by brothers Thomas Graeber of Portsmouth, RI and Geoff Graeber of Newport. She was predeceased by her sisters Leonora Friend and Mary Van Camp and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her family throughout her life and was known for her faith, kindness, goodness, and willingness to help others by all who knew her. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 11th at 11am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 383 Old North Road, Kingston, RI, followed by a celebration of life immediately afterward at the church.
