Ann Catherine Winters Mcgill

Ann Catherine (Winters) McGill, 95, beloved wife for 65 years of James P McGill, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 29, 2016. She was well loved and will be missed by many. Born in Cashill, Co. Leitrim, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Flynn) Winters. Ann met Jim, the love of her life on a trip to the States and settled in Pawtucket, Cranston and then Charlestown RI for the past 30 years. Ann was very active member of St James Church and was a member of the Rosary Society. She was an avid gardener who enjoyed long walks, crafts, reading, sharing her Gaelic as well as a loving caring mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Ann will be dearly missed by her husband as well as her 4 children: Ann (Hector) Rodrigues of Wyckoff, NJ, Steven (Maura) McGill of South Kingstown, RI, Colleen (Kelly) Dean of Hillsboro, NH, Cathy (John) Lathrop of Westerly, RI 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. James Chapel, 2079 Matunuck Schoolhouse Rd, Charlestown, RI on Tuesday July 5,2016 at 10 AM which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will follow in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St James Church or a charity of your choice or, do a good deed for someone and think of Ann.
