Angela M. Roth

Angela “Ann” Roth, 90, of Holland Drive, Wakefield, died Friday. She was the wife of Edward J. Roth. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Chiaro) Sormanti. Mrs. Roth was a Public information officer for the University of Rhode Island retiring in 1979. As a civilian during World War II, she was stationed by the Department of the Interior at Fields Point in Providence. She was a member of the GFWC Women’s Club of South County, where she served as President from 1978-1980, and she was a member of the South County Hospital Auxiliary serving as a volunteer for over 10 years. She is survived by two sons, Richard E. Roth of Wakefield and Russell J. Roth of Campton, NH, a sister, Marjorie Sormanti of Smithfield, two grandsons, Aaron Roth and Benjamin Roth and three great granddaughters. She was the sister of the late Anthony V. Sormanti and John W. Sormanti. Visitation will be Monday from 10 -11 AM follwed by a service at 11 AM in the Avery-Storti Funeral Home,. 88 Columbia Street, Wakefield.
