Alyce L. Thompson, 88, of General Stanton Lane, Charlestown, RI, (formerly of Watertown, CT) died Wednesday at Westerly Hospital, Westerly, RI. She was the wife of the late E. Edward Thompson. Born in Tarrytown, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mary Elizabeth (Black) Lindeau. Mrs. Thompson lived an illustrious early life growing up in the Ritz Carlton of Boston and the Roosevelt Hotel of NYC, under the charge of her parents, her father having been the General Manager of each hotel. Mrs. Thompson was a Secretary for the School of Nursing, Waterbury, CT before retiring. She was a graduate of Mary Washington College and was a member of the First Congregational Church of Watertown. She leaves two sons, Curt Thompson of Las Vegas, NV and Craig and his wife Karen Thompson of Charlestown, RI; was the beloved grandmother of six grandchildren, Kelly, Jennifer, Allyson, Brian, Derek and Andrew Thompson and also leaves a great granddaughter, Jaden Thompson. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Rhode Island Home & Hospice Care, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI 02860. Funeral and burial will be private.
