Alvin Clinton Parman of West Kingston, Rhode Island passed peacefully at his home on April 20, 2022. Alvin was born to Edgar Parman and Virginia Hilliard in 1946 in Portsmouth, Ohio. He graduated from Beavercreek High School of Beavercreek Ohio before enlisting in the Air Force, in which he served from 1966 to 1970. While stationed at Westover Air Force Base in Chicopee Massachusetts Alvin met the love of his life Judi Wright of Westfield. After they were married in 1968 Al was stationed in West Germany at the Hahn Air Base. Following that Al and Judi and their children moved between Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina and Massachusetts for his job with Ted Reed Thermal before settling in Richmond Rhode Island, where they’ve lived for the past 46 years. Al enjoyed being outdoors, listening to the birds, swimming and fishing in freshwater, and marveling at the intricacies of nature’s design. He also loved cars and visiting our national parks. This was second to his love of family, though. He leaves behind his wife Judi, his sister Mary Jo Parman and her partner Trudy Achor of Lebanon Ohio, his daughter Jennifer Heise and her husband R. Blair Heise of Richmond, New Hampshire, his son Scott Parman of Bradford Rhode Island, his daughter Amy Mayer and her husband Nick Mayer of Lincoln Vermont, and eight grandchildren: Spencer, Daniel, and Trevor Heise, Aiden, Leah and Maxon Parman, and Roman and Luke Mayer, many cousins, nieces, and nephews as well as his beloved four legged companions QT, Toby, and Smidgen. A celebration of Al’s life will be held at the Kingston Congregational Church, 2610 Kingston Road in Kingston Rhode Island on April 30, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Please dress casually and in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Monadnock Humane Society of Swanzey NH or plant a tree in Al’s honor.
