Allan L. Brook

Allan L. Brook, 81, of Narragansett, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the loving husband of the late Ann M. (Dolan) Brook. They just celebrated 54 years of marriage. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Thomas and Hilda (Briggs) Brook.

Allan grew up in the Esmond section of Smithfield, Rhode Island. He graduated from Warwick Vets, class of 1960 and graduated from Bryant College in 1964. He worked as an Amica Insurance Underwriter for 33 years.

A true sports fan, Allan was a member of the Rhody Oldies Hockey Club until the age of 79. He was an avid sports fan and played golf, hockey, softball, tennis and bocce.

Allan is survived by two children, Christopher Neil Brook and Jennifer Lynn (Brook) McKenna. He was the brother of the late David E. Brook.

Calling hours for Allan will be held Sunday, August 25th, 2024 from 11 AM to 2 PM in the Avery- Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia St., Wakefield, with a funeral home service at 1 PM.

Please help us share good memories at a Celebration of Life to be held at 2 PM at the Elks Club 60 Belmont Ave, Wakefield, RI 02879 We ask that everyone come in their favorite Hockey/Sports jersey, Disney character shirt, or favorite artists clothing to honor the way they lived. We plan to have a nice meal and a DJ softly playing 50s 60s music to creste a lively atmosphere to trade happy memories of Allan and Ann. That is what they would want. Please spread the word as all are invited This is one of those rare moments that we can all slow down...and just enjoy each others company.
